Membership Requirements: Membership in the society is open to any adult woman or man, 18 years of age or older, who can prove descent from a founder of New Jersey prior to 17 April, 1702 in any area which is now in the State of New Jersey, and who subscribes to the objectives of the society. Life membership is available for $100. A list of qualifying ancestors is available here. The list is not comprehensive. Thousands of others are also potential ancestors, but these names have been researched and approved. Membership Benefits: Members of the Descendants of Founders of New Jersey receive a handsome membership certificate and are eligible to purchase and wear the society ribbon and insignia. Members have free access to electronic versions of the Ancestor Biographies as they are available, and enjoy unique one-on-one presentations from entertaining and informative expert speakers at Society meetings.
